Black Scat Books is the only concern of its kind in America, founded in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2012- an independent press “where art & literature hits the fan”- absurdist fiction, dada, surrealism, pataphysics, erotica, and works in translation. Black Scat books are not only unique and collectible, but also Environmentally Friendly. All our titles are manufactured-on-demand, producing beautifully designed books as they’re ordered. This eliminates excess production and unsold remaindered copies. Black Scat’s printer uses chlorine-free ink, and high quality acid-free interior paper stock supplied by a Forest Stewardship Council-certified provider. Our editions are crafted to last and printed on cream paper made from 30% post-consumer waste recycled material.
