Meet our Team

Dennis Sweeney

Dennis James Sweeney is a small press writer, reader, and teacher who is especially interested in writing at the intersections and boundaries of genre. He has published books with several small presses, including Autumn House Press, Essay Press, and Ricochet Editions. He is a Lecturer in English at Amherst College. 

Neviah Waldron (they/them) is a student at Amherst College majoring in Interdisciplinary studies, with a focus on religion in Guyana. They’ve helped with assembling the Small Press Database <3. On campus, they are also a Peer Advocate for Sexual Respect, a research assistant, and an artist. They’ll also teach you how to crochet if you ask 🙂

Sara Attia

Sara Attia is an English and Environmental Studies major at Amherst College. She is currently an intern for the Small Press Database, focusing on buying books for the Small Press library. Sara is also Chief Operator of Amherst College’s student radio, WAMH. She has a fondness for crochet and werewolves.

Sarah Wu (she/her) is an English and CS major at Amherst College. She is currently the developer of the Small Press Database website. Additionally, she is an Editorial Assistant for The Common and the co-editor-in-chief of the college’s literary magazine, The Indicator. She has a strong belief that potatoes should grow on trees.

Steven Huang

Steven Huang (he/him) is an English major at Amherst College. He is the layout editor for the literary magazine The Lilac. He is currently working on a prospective class based around the Small Press Database.
